Supporting Operation Purple 2024

First off, a huge thanks to all those in the Wheatberry Construction family that supported this cause!

2024 marked the inaugural Wheatberry Construction matching donation campaign to support the wonderful work of Camp Fire AK and their Operation Purple Summer Camp. Operation Purple is a summer camp for the children of Active Duty military members located at Cooper Landing in Alaska. Prior to starting Wheatberry Construction, Casey Carpenter was an active duty Airman serving as the Military Liaison Officer for Operation Purple. His old unit, the 611th Civil Engineer Squadron at Elmendorf Air Base, continues to send a team down to put the participants through an Obstacle Course and spend the day at the camp with them. This year the camp ran from June 3rd to June 7th and reports are that it was rainy, messy, and boat loads of fun!

And on our side, we are elated to report that, thanks to the whole Wheatberry Family, we were able to raise and match $2,500, for a total of $5,000 donation to Operation Purple. We thank everyone who was able to support, and promise to carry on a legacy of supporting our military and our veterans.
