Supporting the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans (MSHV) 2024
A second huge thank you to all those in the Wheatberry Construction family that supported this cause!
2024 marked the inaugural Wheatberry Construction matching donation campaign to support the wonderful work at the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. MSHV has a mission “to empower at-risk veterans, and their families, to become self-sufficient, productive members of their communities.” They execute this mission by providing transitional housing, supportive support services, permanent affordable housing, family support, and operating the freedom commissary to meet clothing and basic household needs for our veterans. At Wheatberry, after we supported Operation Purple in Alaska, we wanted to find an organization in our community that aligned with our vision and our values. Once we met with MSHV and their director, and heard about the great work they’re doing, we knew it was an organization we wanted to be involved with, and hope to continue building that relationship into the future.
And on our side, we are elated to report that, thanks to the whole Wheatberry Family, we were able to raise and match $5,000.00, for a total of $10,000.00 donation to MSHV. We thank everyone who was able to support, and promise to carry on a legacy of supporting our community, our military, and our veterans.
